Lyft Partnership
JMU SafeRides is excited to announce our partnership with Lyft to operate the SafeRides service this semester!
On Friday and Saturday nights between 10PM and 3AM, call 540-JMU-RIDE (540-568-7433) to request your SafeRide home. This service is available to any student with a JACard.
After contacting JMU SafeRides, you’ll receive a series of text messages with information about your Lyft Concierge ride. You’ll be able to track your ride status in real-time, and the entire cost of the ride will be covered by JMU SafeRides.

Tips For Riding Smart with Lyft:
● Verify your ride by making sure the license plate number, driver information, and car make and model match what you see in the Concierge rider texts.
● Share your location and route with a friend or loved one so they can follow your ride in real time.
● Ask the driver to say who they are picking up.

In response to COVID-19, Lyft launched a Health Safety Program, which includes:
● Personal health certification for drivers and riders
● Required face masks for drivers and riders
● Health safety education for drivers and riders
● Distribution of cleaning supplies and masks for drivers
